KSH: decrease in the growth of agri producer prices
Agricultural producer prices rose by 18.5 percent in November, compared to the level of a year earlier, after the 24.5 percent price increase of the previous month. The price of crop products increased by 25.0 percent, the price of livestock products increased by 7.5 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Monday.
e increase rate of cereals has slowed to 31.1 percent from the 38.7 percent of October. The price of potatoes jumped to 87.6 percent in November, after the 56 percent drop of November 2011, and after the 47.2 percent price increase of the previous month.
The price of potatoes was the lowest in the August-September period. (MTI)
