KSH: the European Population Health Survey will end in the middle of next month
The Hungarian phase of the European Population Health Survey (EPHS) will end on December 15, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced to MTI on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, more than six thousand people have answered the questions of the representative research so far, contributing to obtaining a comprehensive picture of the health status of the population and the factors influencing it.
The office is awaiting the responses of the selected respondents in the coming weeks so that conclusions valid for the entire country can be drawn. Participation is voluntary, but all respondents will receive a shopping voucher, they indicated.
It was explained that the European Population Health Survey covers the population aged 15 and over living in private households; The sample of people from 538 settlements in the country was selected randomly using a mathematical-statistical method.
The selected people who have not yet responded will be asked to participate again by the Central Statistical Office in a letter sent to Ügyfélkapu+ or DÁP.
It was emphasized that the Central Statistical Office treats the data from the survey confidentially and uses it exclusively for statistical purposes, in aggregate, excluding the possibility of individual identification.
The first domestic publication of the survey results is expected in the spring of 2026, and the validated data of the member states will be available on the Eurostat website after that.
Applicants from the health survey respondents are also invited to participate in the National Nutrition and Nutritional Status Survey (OTÁP2025) until December 15.
The survey, organized by the National Center for Public Health and Pharmacy (NNGYK), aims to learn about dietary habits that largely determine health, and to assess nutritional status.
The survey will take place in 219 settlements across the country, with the involvement of health professionals, the announcement says.
