KSH: Easter effect determined the March tourism data
In March, the Easter effect determined the tourism statistics. While the number of nights spent by foreign and domestic guests decreased, compared to the third quarter of last year as Easter was in March last year but April this year both data increased seasonal and calendar effect adjusted – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
The number of nights spent by foreign guests decreased by 4.1 percent, and nights spent by domestic guests decrreased by 4.7 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. Taking into account the seasonal and calendar effect adjustment, the number of foreign visitors increased by 1.7 percent, while the number of domestic guest traffic increased by 3.7 percent. (MTI)
