KSH: the gross average salary was 704,400 forints in June, 9.7 percent higher than a year earlier
In June 2025, the average gross salary of full-time employees was 704,400 forints, and the average net salary was 484,200 forints. The average gross salary was 9.7 percent, the average net salary was 9.6 percent, and the real salary was 4.8 percent higher than a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.
The median gross salary was 567,700 forints, and the median net salary was 395,000 forints, exceeding the same periods of the previous year by 10.3 and 10.5 percent, respectively.

The regular (excluding bonuses, rewards, and monthly special allowances) gross average earnings were HUF 655,600 in June, which is 9.5 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The regular gross average earnings were HUF 650,400 in enterprises, HUF 658,300 in the budget, and HUF 698,100 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 9.4, 9.2, and 10.6 percent, respectively, in one year.
Real earnings increased by 4.8 percent, along with a 4.6 percent increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
In January-June, the gross average earnings of full-time employees were HUF 692,800, and the net average earnings were HUF 476,100. The average gross salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.2 percent, while the net salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.0 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
