KSH: the gross average salary was 693,700 forints, 9.0 percent higher than a year earlier.

The increase in the average net salary exceeded the increase in the average gross salary due to the higher family tax benefit introduced from July 1, 2025, the office noted.

The median gross salary was 570,000 forints, and the median net salary was 399,000 forints, exceeding the same periods of the previous year by 9.6 and 10.7 percent, respectively.

The regular gross average salary (excluding bonuses, rewards, and monthly special allowances) was 656,600 forints, which is 8.5 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The regular gross average salary was 649,900 forints in enterprises, 669,900 in the budget, and 684,400 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 8.1, 10.1, and 7.9 percent, respectively, in one year.

Real earnings increased by 4.9 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year, with consumer prices increasing by 4.3 percent.

In January-July, the gross average salary of full-time employees was 693,000 forints, and the net average salary was 476,600 forints. Both the gross and net average salaries exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.1 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
