KSH: The number of Hungarian visits abroad decreased more than inbound tourism in the first quarter
As a result of the travel restrictions introduced in mid-March due to the pandemic, the upward trend of foreigners ‘visits to Hungary and Hungarians’ international travel, which was characteristic of previous periods, declined in the first quarter, including in March.
The number of foreign visitors decreased by 13 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while Hungarian citizens traveled abroad 19 percent less, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) stated in its latest summary. (MTI)
