KSH: The guest traffic of commercial accommodations increased by 8.2 percent in December 2012

In December last year 6.1 percent more guest spent 8.2 percent more guest nights in commercial accommodations than a year earlier.  In the whole year the growth was 3.6 and 4.8 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.

In December, the number of foreign visitors increased by 10.4 percent, wile the number of domestic guests by 2.3 percent. The number of guest nightsw increased by 14.1 (foreign guests) and by 2.4 percent (domestic guests). The 266 thousand foreign visitors spent a total of 649 thousand nights in commercial accommodations, while the 273 thousand domestic guests spent 601 thousand guest nights. (MTI)
