KSH: Tourism grew by 6.7 percent last year
Last year, the number of nights spent by foreign guests was 7.9 percent, while the number of nights spent by domestic guests was 5.6 percent more than the year before, and the guest turnover of hotels rose by 6.7 percent – the Central Statistical Office announced on Friday.
Last December, over a month, the number of nights spent by foreign guests grew by 6.0 percent to 945,000, while the number of domestic guests was 8.8 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year and rose to 929 thousand, and the guest traffic of the while the number of accommodations grew by 7.4 percent. Room occupancy by hotels rose by 2.5 percentage points to 51.9 percent in December last year. (MTI)
