KSH: 56 thousand more people at work, compared to a year ago
The number of employees was 3 million 964 thousand in May-July 2013, 56 thousand, (1.4 percent) more than a year earlier – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) published on Tuesday.
3 million 931 thousand workers were aged 15-64 years, which is a 61 thousand increase compared to May-July 2012. The employment rate of the 15-64 age group was 58.7 percent, 1.1 percentage points higher than a year ago. (MTI)
