KSH: 51 thousand more people are working than a year ago

The number of employees in December 2011 – February 2012 was 3 million 794 thousand, 51 thousand more than a year ago – the Central Statistical Office told MTI on Thursday.

The communication states that the labor market position of men and women almost equally improved.

During the period, the number of employees was 1.4 percent higher than in the same period of last year. The increase exceeded the sampling error margin.

According to the communication, the number of employed persons, aged 15-64 is 3 million 761 thousand, which is 50 thousand more than a year ago. The employment rate exceeded last year’s datas by 1 percentage points. (MTI)
