KSH: The foreign trade deficit was 503 million euros
In March, the value of exports in euros was 8.7 percent and that of imports 22.6 percent higher than a year earlier. The foreign trade balance deteriorated by 1.354 billion euros and showed a deficit of 503 million euros, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Monday, according to its first estimate.
Compared to the previous month, exports rose 5.4 percent and imports 8.7 percent in March.
In the first quarter, exports increased by 14.3 percent and imports by 28.4 percent compared to the same period of last year. The balance deteriorated by 3.446 billion euros from January-March last year and closed with a deficit of 864 million euros. (MTI)
