KSH: The average gross earnings were 395 thousand HUF in the first half of the year
In the first half of the year, the gross average salary was 395 thousand HUF and the net average salary without discounts was 262,600 HUF, both of which increased by 9.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In June, the average gross earnings were 421,700 HUF, 15.6 percent higher than a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Monday.
The outstanding increase in June was largely explained by the CSO’s one-time extraordinary allowance of 500,000 HUF allocated to healthcare workers.
Real wages rose 6.3 percent in the first half of the year, with consumer prices rising 3.4 percent year-on-year. Real earnings in June were 12.3 percent higher than a year earlier. (MTI)
