KSH: the foreign trade surplus in the first quarter is close to 2.5 billion euros
In the first quarter, exports in euros increased by 12.6 percent, and imports in euros by 14.6 percent compared to the previous year. The foreign trade surplus decreased by 72 million euros, but still amounted to 2,470 billion euros, according to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Growth was particularly dynamic in March, with exports increased by 18.4 percent and imports by 21.0 percent year-on-year. In January, exports increased by 14 percent, while in February by 5.5 percent, compared to the same month last year. (MTI)
