KSH: the quarterly trade surplus is close to 2.5 billion euros
In this year's first quarter exports were 7.7 percent higher, while imports were 5.7 percent higher than a year before.
The quarterly export surplus increased by 531 million euros to 2.487 billion euros – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday on the basis of detailed data. The data are identical to the first estimate released on May 11.
The value of exports exceeded eight billion euros in March for the first time and increased by 941 million euros, compared to a year before. The imports increased by 652 million euros, compared to last March and crossed the seven billion euros for the first time. (MTI)
