In January 2026, industrial producer prices were on average 2.9 percent lower than a year earlier. Domestic sales prices decreased by 2.8 percent and export sales by 2.9 percent compared to January of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices did not change, export sales prices increased by 1.4 percent, so industrial producer prices were 0.9 percent higher overall.
Domestic sales prices decreased by an average of 2.8 percent, within this, 3.2 percent in the manufacturing industry, which represents a 67.6 percent weight, while 30.0 percent in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) decreased by 2.2 percent – the Central Statistical Office announced.
Among the groups of sectors by purpose, prices in the domestic energy and secondary consumption sectors decreased by 4.0 percent, in the capital goods sector by 1.4 percent, and in the consumer goods sector by 1.2 percent.
Industrial export sales prices decreased by 2.9 percent, within this, by 3.4 percent in the manufacturing industry, which accounts for 90.1 percent, and by 1.7 percent in the energy industry, which accounts for 9.7 percent, – the Central Statistical Office announced.
