Last year, the proportion of teleworkers or home office workers in Hungary tripled to 8.9 percent on average over the past ten years, to 8.6 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
The peak was in May 2020, when nearly 760,000 people, 17 percent of the employed, were affected by this type of work, and in February this year, their proportion was almost five times higher than a year before. (MTI)
