KSH: 152 thousand more workers at the end of 2016 than a year before
In the fourth quarter of last year, the number of employees was 4 million 411 thousand, 3.6 percent (152 thousand) more than a year before. The employment rate of aged 15-64 rose by 2.7 percentage points to 67.5 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Monday.
According to the report of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), the employment rate of the 15-64 age group increased by 2.6 percentage points to 66.5 percent in 2016, compared to the previous year. The number of employees last year was an average of 4 million 352 thousand, 141 thousand more than in 2015.
