KSH: prices increased by 1.9 percent in February
In February, consumer prices were on average 1.9 percent higher than in the previous year and 0.2 percent higher than in January – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Thursday.
Analysts expected a 2.0 percent inflation for February, after the 2.1 percent increase of the previous two months. In the second month of the year, the spirits and tobacco prices increased with the highest extent, by 6.4 percent, while the 3.9 percent increase in food prices was the second highest. (MTI)
