KSH: inflation was 1.8 percent in May
The inflation was 1.8 percent in May which is lower than the expectations of the analysts. Compared to the previous month, consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
In May, the price of fuel decreased by 3.4 percent, while the price of food products and seasonally priced products increased by 0.6 percent due to the 7.2 percent price increase of fresh vegetables like fruits and potatoes. (MTI)
