The final results of the Agricultural Census 2020 have been published by the KSH
Patay Ágnes, the project manager of the survey, mentioned the structural transformation of Hungarian agriculture at the presentation of the Agricultural Census 2020 at KSH’s online press conference on Thursday. According to the data, mainly the smallest farms have disappeared since 2010, but the majority of the 241,000 farms are still small. The proportion of medium-sized ones rose from 9 percent to 17 percent. The decline in livestock keepers is above average, at 53 percent, but as there are more and more larger farms among them, the number of animals has not changed substantially in 10 years. (MTI)
