The Hungarian Logistics Association (MLE) and Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) celebrate Logistics Day at a joint professional conference
Today is Logistics Day. In this case, people interested in logistics can come across numerous programs across the country and beyond. A large-scale logistics conference was organized by the Hungarian Logistics Association (MLE) and Budapest Metropolitan University (METU).
The celebration of Logistics Day originates from Germany, which has also been celebrated in our country for 12 years. This year, professional organizations and educational institutions also prepared for the event, and several professional conferences were scheduled for the occasion. Logistics Day has been celebrated in Germany since 2007. Our country joined the initiative of the German Logistics Association (BVL) 5 years later, in 2012. The primary goal of the programs is the same every year: to give interested parties an insight into the profession. During this period, professional organizations, educational institutions and players in the competitive market also often open their doors to interested parties, usually supplemented with some kind of professional program.
In connection with the Day of Logistics, this year the more than 30-year-old professional organization and Hungary’s largest private university jointly organized an all-day professional program called the Last-Mile Logistics Conference. The campus of the Budapest Metropolitan University served as the venue for this. Associate Professor Dr. Balázs Gyenge, head of the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Budapest Metropolitan University, gave a welcome address at the event. The host of the event was Associate Professor Dr. Antoni Alfonz, Head of the Department of Logistics at the Institute of Economics and Finance of Budapest Metropolitan University.
