Joint roadshow by NAK and the Ministry of Regional Development
The Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Ministry of Regional Development have started a joint roadshow to inform farmers about the EU’s common agricultural policy for the 2014-2020 period and the changes in the system of subsidies. At the opening event in Zalaegerszeg secretary of state György Czerván told that in 2014 funding will be HUF 25 billion more in agriculture and rural development than it was last year. Since 2014 is a transitional year, the SAPS system will stay in effect and its sum will be EUR 227/hectare. Although the EU’s agricultural budget has been cut by 11 percent, Hungary will get 3.2 percent of it instead of last year’s 2.4 percent.
