Plans for Air Marketing Fund
An idea is coalescing to launch an Air Marketing Fund to help the destination promotion of new flights to Hungary.
According to the plans, participating hotels would pay HUF
4000 per room (for hotels operating seasonally this sum would be HUF 2000/room)
and guesthouses and restaurants would pay HUF 25,000 annually into the fund.
Local governments would then top up 50% of the suppliers' contributions and
finally the HNTO would contribute 150% of the collection to complete the sum.
Participating suppliers would be involved in the promotion. A similar
cooperation helped the promotion of Germanwing's and Ryanair's FlyBalaton
flights. The HNTO is waiting for comments from the travel trade on the
proposal.
