Motor fuels of the future and freight forwarding were in the centre of attention
On 30-31 May the drvingcamp centre was the venue of this year’s Innovation Days, where all the important players from the sector were present, courtesy of Shell Hungary Zrt., to discuss important matter such as the motor fuels of the future or reducing the carbon footprint in freight forwarding.
On the first day there were presentations about alternative motor fuels such as hydrogen, electricity, organic fuel, LNG or CNG. The experts agreed that the market of these will stay small without government support or educating consumers. Partners and stakeholders had the chance to learn about the latest trends and participate in interactive programmes. Shell Fleet Solutions brought exciting solutions to the drivingcamp: guests could use VR glasses to see what a fuel particle ‘sees’ when going through the motor of a vehicle. At the Shell EETS (European Electronic Toll Service) stand freight forwarders had the opportunity to learn about the device that makes toll payment possible for vehicles in every country.
On the second day freight forwarding was in the limelight with the 3rd Freight Forwarders Day conference and exhibition. The host was Orbico Hungary Kft. – the official distributor of Shell lubricants in Hungary – and besides the presentations, participants could try different vehicles, including an LNG-fuelled truck. There were 25 exhibitors and nearly 400 visitors in the two days of the Innovation Days. (x)
