An important stage in the whitening of the economy was the fact that from 1 July 2018, the legislator made invoices generated in business-to-business (B2B) transactions with a VAT term of at least 100,000 HUF to be reported to NAV.
Of course, invoices with lower sales taxes can also be reported on a voluntary basis. Already in the first six months, 12.2 million invoices were received by the tax authority, and then in 2019 another 25.6 million. The amount of reported VAT in the second half of 2019 exceeded the amount of the previous year by 18 percent- according to a joint research by GKI Gazdaságkutató and Billingo.hu online invoicing.
