Nearly five million tonnes of wheat is expected
Based on preliminary estimates good results can be expected this year: from winter wheat 5 tonnes per hectare yield is expected – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said in his opening speech in Jászapáti.
Czerván György told that from winter wheat that was sown on about 1 million hectares, nearly 5 million tonnes of good quality wheat will be transported to the granaries, so the yield will cover the country’s grain bread and feed wheat needs and will also be sufficient to export. (MTI)
