Whole milk powder selling price on the international market increased by almost one and a half times
The producer price of raw milk, expressed in national currency, stagnated in the European Union and New Zealand in April 2025, while in the USA it decreased by 5 percent in one month. In the 23rd week of 2025, the selling price of whole milk powder (FOB Oceania) on the world market increased by 46 percent, that of cheddar cheese by 15 percent, that of melted butter by 9 percent, and that of skimmed milk powder by 6 percent compared to the same week in 2024.

According to AKI PÁIR data, in May 2025, compared to the previous month, the processing sales price of portioned butter increased (+1 percent), Trappist cheese, 1.5 and 2.8 percent fat boxed UHT milk stagnated, 2.8 percent fat boxed fresh milk, sour cream, cow’s curd and fruit yoghurt (both -1 percent) decreased. According to KSH data, the consumer price of 2.8 percent fat UHT milk did not change, 2.8 percent fat ESL milk, Trappist block cheese, 12 and 20 percent fat sour cream and butter (both -1 percent), pasteurized 1.5 percent fat ESL milk (-2 percent), and fruit yoghurt (-3 percent) decreased in the same comparison.
