Net earnings nearly increased by three percent
Real wages – beside the 5.1 percent rise in consumer prices – rose by 2.9 percent in January-September, mainly due to changes in the rules of the personal income tax – reports the Central Statistical Office.
In the first three quarters, gross average earnings were 2.4, net earnings were 8.2 percent higher than in the previous year. In the business sector gross average earnings increased by 4.1 percent, in the field of the budget – because of the increase of the low-paid public servants – a 1.1 percent decrease occured in the gross average earnings, compared to the same period of 2009 – reports KSH.
