Nearly a thousand cyclists took part in the McDonald’s BringaMánia Tour on Lake Tisza
The McDonald’s BringaMánia® Lake Tisza Tour has stirred the imaginations of countless cyclists for the second time. The hikers gathered at the event center in Tiszafüred were once again in for a captivating bike experience.
The organizer Vuelta Sportiroda, in collaboration with the Hungarian McDonald’s, encouraged by the success of the McDonald’s BringaMánia® Tour de Balaton, launched its autumn tour around the lake in 2021, which took place for the second time on September 24, 2022. On Saturday morning, which was initially cool, but later blossomed, with a participation rate of 93 percent, almost 1,000 cyclists arrived ready to start at the Morotva bicycle rest park in Tiszafüred.
This time, the hikers could set off on two different distances: the participants of the Family Circle had 35 kilometers to Poroszló and back, while the participants of the Lake Circle could reach the finish line after 65 kilometers, bypassing the entire standing water. This time, the route included the most important tourist attractions of the region, including the bicycle bridge connecting Poroszló and Tiszafüred, which won the title of Bicycle Route of the Year in 2021, the Lake Tisza Ecocentre, Sarud’s Élményfalu, the Kisköre lookout, and an unprecedented construction in the country also a fish ladder.
