Nearly 83,000 businesses operate in Hungary today with management consisting entirely of women
In 2022, the number of social enterprises consisting of purely female company managers increased by more than a thousand companies, although men still dominate the range of owners and signatories of domestic social enterprises.
The majority of domestic businesses are still dominated by male owners and managers, but there are also more and more successful businesses with female management. There are currently around 260,000 female owners, their number has decreased by 2022, which is basically the result of exiting the mixed ownership circle. In contrast to the group of owners, the number of female managers entitled to register has increased to 167,000, 2,000 more than the previous year. From the point of view of businesses, it has increased by a thousand by 2022, and thus there are currently 83,000 social enterprises made up entirely of female business managers, but this still represents only 17 percent of the company base, which in terms of proportion is unchanged compared to the previous year. This ratio is still very far from the amount of purely male businesses.
