A salary difference of nearly 80 thousand forints between discount stores and small shops
Among retail chains discount supermarkets pay their blue-collar workers the best: at Aldi, Lidl and Penny they got a gross HUF 257,000/month on average in February 2018. Auchan, Spar and Tesco come next in the ranking, paying HUF 20,000 less to blue-collar workers a month. In small shops that employ less than 10 people the average gross salary was HUF 178,000/month.
