BSI’s running events brought nearly 70 thousand guest nights

The number of foreigners who are coming for the running events of the Budapest Sports Office (BSI) is constantly increasing. Last year they spent 68 thousand nights in Hungary.

According to the communication of the BSI, published on Tuesday, for the three main events of 2016, (Telekom Vivicittá Half Marathon, Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon and SPAR Budapest Marathon) entries were received from a total of 96 countries. The 21 thousand people (runners and their teams) spent an average 3.2 days in the Hungarian capital. The total spendings of them in Hungary reached three billion HUF. (MTI)
