Although the annual sum of the fines has decreased by 33% compared to the previous year, the technology sector remains the most affected. Hungary ranks 17th in Europe for GDPR fines, with EUR 4.2m. The EU continues to investigate the legality of “consent or pay” models, which in most cases don’t comply with the GDPR’s current consent requirements. //
