Nearly 3.5 billion HUF was spent by the consumers last year for Christmas packages containing personal care and cosmetics
Retail sales of cosmetics and personal care products increased greatly during last pre-Christmas season last year.
In fact, consumers spent 13 percent more on them during the last four months of 2011 than a year earlier. A total of nearly 3.5 billion HUF was spent approximately on 2.3 million gift packages of deodorants, shower gels, soaps and other products.
The volume increase was 7 percent, from one festive season to the other.
The acquisition is traditionally concentrated for December, when75 to 80 percent of the gift packages are used to be sold. Peak period is the two weeks before Christmas.
