Nearly 340 Tesco employees will miss work today
There are so many people who have 6-7 year old children and were able to take advantage of the extra day off provided by Tesco to accompany their child to school on their first day. Every year, on the first day of the academic year, the department store chain provides the possibility of an extra paid day off for those colleagues who request it.
Tesco makes sure that its employees do not miss important moments for them. This is also the case when their child starts school. There are a total of 342 Tesco employees whose children turned 6-7 this year and are about to start school. They are the ones who could request an extra paid day off on September 2 to accompany their child on the first day of school.
The department store chain pays special attention to using as many tools as possible to help its colleagues raising children. A total of 2,500 Tesco employees are raising 4,500 children under the age of 18, and the parents of school-age children will receive school enrollment support in the form of HUF 7,500 redeemable coupons, as in previous years.
In addition, the Tesco Angyal Foundation provided 245 of our employees in a crisis situation with a start-of-school subsidy worth nearly HUF 4 million.
