Close to 1,000 billion surplus in trade balance
According to the report of the Central Statistical Office; In January-August of 2010, the trade balance surplus was 956 billion HUF (3,493 million euros) 355 billion HUF (1413 millioneuros) more than in the same period of 2009.
Calculated from datas on current price, the export value of the forint increased by 17, while import forint value increased by 15 percent. In euros this increase was 22, and 19 percent.
In the first eight months of the year, the value of export was 12,496 billion HUF (45.5 billion euros), while the value of imports was 11,540 billion (42 billion euros).
The forint compared to the major currencies increased by 3.5 percent – reports the Central Statistical Office.
