OMV is starting to distribute medicines at nearly 100 filling stations in Hungary
Since spring, over-the-counter medicines have been available at 99 OMV filling stations across the country. As part of the distribution carried out in cooperation with Goodwill Pharma Nyrt., fever and pain relievers, nose and eye drops, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory drugs are available at the filling stations.
OMV Hungária Kft. took into account the growing needs and decided to distribute over-the-counter medicines, medical devices and dietary supplements, which was preceded by a test period covering 10 wells. Following the positive experiences, this year the company decided to expand sales to 89 more filling stations, so the products are now available in around 50 percent of OMV’s network in Hungary.
Pursuant to the relevant legislation, the sale of medicines is only permitted to persons over the age of 14, and filling stations are not allowed to take them back. Customers can find out about the products in the MDD drug information system certified by the National Center for Public Health and Pharmaceuticals, at the digital kiosk at the filling station, or on the basis of the printed patient information. Pharmaceutical waste can also be dropped off free of charge at the wells participating in the sale.
