Retail sales increased by nearly 10 percent in Romania
The volume of retail sales grew by 9.8 percent in Romania, in the first nine months of last year, compared to the same period last year, according to the Romanian National Institute on Monday.
According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar effect adjusted data, the growth was 8.8 percent.
Non-food sales grew by 12.5 percent, fuel sales increased by 11.8 percent, while food, beverages and tobacco sales grew by 5.6 percent.
In September, retail sales grew by 13.7 percent, compared to last year’s ninth month. The growth was both seasonally and calendar effect adjusted 12.9 percent. (MTI)
