Euro area inflation peaked at a near 1-year high
Inflation in the euro area reached a peak of almost 1 year in February, but core inflation slowed compared to January, according to the final data published by Eurostat on Wednesday.
In February, the annual rate of increase in consumer prices in the euro area peaked at 0.9 percent in January, the same as in January. A year before, in February 2020, euro area inflation was 1.2 percent. (MTI)
