Chamber of Agriculture membership will be mandatory
The new Chambers of Agriculture Law was adopted by the Parliament on Thursday. Under the law, anyone who carrying out agribusiness activities will be the member of the Hungarian Agricultural, Food and Rural Economic Development Chamber advocacy organization.
The members of the chamber should pay an annual membership fee: the chamber determines the amount on the basis of the members’ economic weight.
The bill was submitted to parliament on Monday by Fazekas Sándor, Rural Development Minister and it was adopted on Thursday with 247 yes and 73 no votes. (MTI)
