Karotin Kft. has established a modern alfalfa processing plant in Szeged
According to the announcement, 507.24 million HUF of the investment costs were covered by a non-refundable EU subsidy, and a further 520.95 million HUF was covered by a soft loan.
The Karotin Kft. was founded in 1992 and has now become the most significant alfalfa pellet producer in Hungary. The alfalfa dryer used by the company, manufactured in the 1970s, is now obsolete, so new, state-of-the-art equipment was purchased from the Spanish company Apsia. (MTI)
