Environmentally conscious shopping bags in the METRO stores

METRO Trade Ltd. is strongly committed to environmental awareness in many areas, for several years. METRO would like to decrease pollution with its environmental-friendly, several times usable, long lasting and practical canvas based bag.

The bags are only available in METRO stores, but do not carry adverts on the surface of the bag, only calling attention on environmental protection and to the nature protection organization.
METRO Trade Ltd. supports the Alliance of Hungarian Nature Protectionists, which means 5 HUF after every sold shopping bag.
METRO as an environmental conscious company has never used plastic-based shopping bags in Hungary.
