Waberer’s Group and Papyrus are celebrating fifty years of cooperation with an environmentally friendly fleet
Hungary’s market-leading complex logistics service provider has been performing transport and storage tasks for Papyrus, which once started as a local company and has now become the paper ambassador of the digital age, for half a century. The two companies, dominant in their respective fields, plan to celebrate 50 years of cooperation in 2024 with a dedicated, renewed and environmentally friendly fleet.
The joint history of Waberer’s and Papyrus and five decades of successful cooperation began in 1973 with a logistics partnership that was considered pioneering at the time. It was then that the basic contract between Volán TEFU and the then Papíriipari Vállalat was established, which included a significant joint warehouse investment in Pestlőrinc. In addition to the joint investment, the cooperation continuously expanded and opened up new dimensions in the field of logistics partnerships. The relationship between Waberer’s (then still Volán TEFU) and Papyrus (then Papíripari Vállalat, then PAPÍRKER and finally Papyrus Hungária Zrt.) extended not only to storage solutions, but over the years included countless value-added activities. Over the past half century, Waberer’s Group has provided Papyrus with a full range of logistics activities: in addition to direct and group deliveries, warehousing activities, it still provides – among other things – FTL transport, forklift rental, van spread, as well as cash management services Waberer’s Group for the market leader.
