The government provided hundreds of billions of forints in support of tourism
The government has so far provided hundreds of billions of forints in support of tourism, helped the sector with a coordinated series of measures, and took several steps in favor of the businesses working here – government spokeswoman Szentkirályi Alexandra told MTI.
She explained: in recent years, the tourism sector has been the driving force of the Hungarian economy, providing significant added value. When the pandemic broke out in March, therefore, the government took immediate and very decisive action to help the sector stay afloat, he said.
