Government information: companies working in energy-intensive industries receive state support
SMEs working in energy-intensive industries, as part of production chains, can receive state support for the purpose of job protection in order to prevent the government from major problems that spill over, Gergely Gulyás announced on Thursday.

The energy crisis also affects jobs
According to Gulyás, Hungarian small and medium-sized companies, especially energy-intensive companies, are in big trouble due to market energy prices, and it is necessary to prevent the shutdown of one energy-intensive company from collapsing and shutting down complete supply chains.
As an example, he mentioned that with the possible shutdown of the otherwise energy-intensive glass industry, the automobile industry and the machine industry would also shut down, which would lead to mass layoffs. The government wants to prevent this and that is why it will proceed with the support program.
During the information session, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office spoke twice about the support program for energy-intensive SMEs, although he has not yet announced any substantive details.
