It is too early to bury this year’s wine harvest
It is too early to bury this year’s wine harvest, because the grapes are in “hibernation”. Grapes can tolerate temperatures around minus 20 degrees – the Borháló Borkereskedés (Wine Net Wine Shop) told MTI on Wednesday.
In the communication, Kathona Krisztián, purchasing manager of the Borháló Borkereskedés (Wine Net Wine Shop) told that a couple of buds may froze, one or two vines suffered frost damages, but do not worry, because the grapes are in the middle of winter inactivity, and can tolerate temperatures around minus 20 degrees thanks to the sweet sap stored in cane buds – he explained.
