Harvest begins earlier in the Eger and the Mátra wine regions
The harvest begins two weeks earlier in the Eger and the Mátra wine regions. The harvest of Irsai Olivér starts early in the Mátra wine region area this week, and will start around August 20 in the Eger wine region – Kovács Zita and Pál Sándor the mountain council presidents of the two regions told MTI on Tuesday.
The country’s second largest 6400-hectare wine region is the Mátra wine region. Kovács Zita informed MTI that the Mátra wine region escaped this year from natural disasters, mainly hail. Thanks to this, the vine is healthy and beautiful. (MTI)
