Book about the traditional apple types of the Őrség and Göcsej
The Göcsej Conservation Foundation published a book about the traditional apple types of the Őrség and Göcsej titled the Traditional Apple Species of the Őrség and Göcsej. The nearly 270-page book illustrated with photographs was presented in Zalaegerszeg on Monday.
In the book one can read about the traditional 101 apple varieties. The shapes of the trees, the vaccination and propagation methods, ripening time, taste and smell of the fruit are presented in the book. It is listed where the different kinds of apple trees are located and where to buy propagation materials. (MTI)
