Swedish start-up to fortify plant-based meats with easy-to-absorb iron
A Swedish start-up has been granted EUR 1m in funding to develop plant-based proteins that help the body to easily absorb iron.

Ironic Biotech uses precision fermentation to produce plant-based iron supplements. The company is going to use the pre-seed funding to expand its patent portfolio and optimise its production process. It says the supplement can be used by plant-based food companies that wish to increase the amount and bioavailability of iron in their products. //
