Hungary is in the European middle field in case of conference tourism
Slovakia is lagging behind its V4 partners in conference tourism. The least events were held in Slovakia among the Visegrád Group countries last year – shows the analysis of Postová Banká sent to MTI.
Referring to the current statistics of the International Convention Association (ICCA), the analysis finds, that among 43 European countries Slovakia is on the 35th place in terms of the organized congresses, international conferences and similar events.
On the field of conference tourism Hungary became 18th with 125 events, directly ahead of the Czech Republic, where 122 international conference was held last year. In Slovakia only 15 international conferences were held in 2011. (MTI)
